TAG-Ed strengthens Georgia’s future workforce by providing students with relevant, hands-on STEM learning opportunities by connecting Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) resources with leading STEM education initiatives. Formerly the TAG Foundation, we are a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization formed by the Technology Association of Georgia in 2002. Later, the organization’s name was rebranded to TAG Education Collaborative to facilitate our role as the leaders for K-12 STEM education in Georgia.
TAG-Ed plays a unique role in connecting Georgia students to local companies in order to expand the STEM education pipeline in our state. Through innovative initiatives and hands-on learning opportunities, we: |
---|
- Provide life-changing summer internships for Georgia students
- Teach interview & application skills to underserved students
- Create statewide awareness campaigns, including Georgia STEM Day and Day of Code
- Coordinate STEM brainstorming sessions by uniting industry thought leaders
- Work with corporate partners, including Google, Code.org, Georgia Aquarium, and Turner
- Grow the future STEM workforce in our state
TAG Education Collaborative’s programs are designed with one goal in mind: to increase awareness of the importance of STEM education among our students. Through innovative web design challenges, interview and application workshops, and life-changing summer internships, we hope to enable Georgia’s K-12 education system to become an innovative leader for STEM education.
