Georgia Tech Faculty In-Kind Services with GCMI

The Global Center for Medical Innovation (GCMI) is offering limited in-kind services to Georgia Tech faculty performing preclinical research and medical product commercialization activities for the 2021 and 2022 calendar years. These funds are reserved for projects with a high probability of commercial/clinical success and/or high probability of follow-on funding. GCMI labor and facility fees are eligible for in-kind services and may be covered up to 100% based on availability of external funding. Hard costs (e.g., materials, consultants, etc.) must be covered by the faculty member. Projects will be selected based on likelihood of commercial/clinical success, timing, availability of GCMI personnel, and the appropriate match with GCMI expertise and capabilities.

Examples of services available for the in-kind program include, but are not limited to, non-GLP preclinical research, cadaveric training and education events, early-stage feasibility assessments (Phase 0), prototyping, quality system implementation, verification and validation activities and clinical trial support. Georgia Tech faculty and staff are eligible to apply. Students are only eligible if sponsored by a faculty member.

If you have questions about the program or would like to apply, please contact Evan Goldberg at evan.goldberg@t3labs.org.
