Research Tech I Positions Available!

Two research technician positions are available in the lab of Prof Philip J. Santangelo (https://pwp.gatech.edu/santangelo/) at the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA.

The candidates will be required to participate in the design, synthesis, optimization and characterization of RNA-based vaccines and therapeutic molecules.

Additionally, candidates will perform all technical activities required for conducting experiments in the lab, including participate in experiment design and preparation under the guidance of project supervisor/manager, preparation, equipment setup and operation, gather, compile and summarize data collection and analyses, participate in preparation of manuscripts/ presentations, maintain laboratory equipment and perform basic lab-technician duties as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering/Biology/Biochemistry is preferable.

Work Experience: Experience with RNA synthesis, molecular biology techniques and cell culture is preferred but not required.

Skills: This job requires candidates to be familiar and/or willing to be trained on needed research lab equipment, processes and practices. Data organization, statistical analysis and use of statistical and scientific computer applications are preferred.

The successful candidates must be enthusiastic, cooperative, team-oriented, pay strict attention to details, keep industry-standard records and have good communication skills.

The positions are offered as a full- time contracts. A background investigation will be required.
