The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Pediatric Technology Center at Georgia Tech received the 2019 GA Bio Community Award, presented to a small number of individuals, companies or institutions whose contributions to Georgia’s life sciences community are worthy of special recognition. The Center unites Children’s clinicians with Georgia Tech scientists and engineers to improve outcomes because important discoveries often take place at the intersection of disciplines, and clinicians, scientists, and engineers approach problems differently. Sherry Farrugia & Leanne West accepted the award Friday night on behalf of the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Pediatric Technology Center at The Georgia Bio Golden Helix & 30th Anniversary Gala.
